Say No To Cellulite With The Cellulite Diet

A proper diet is one of the best ways to address cellulite and practically every other health problem. When it comes to cellulite however, you’ll find that some food items actually help better in dealing with the condition. Following are some tips on how to approach your diet with the intention of getting rid of cellulite and paying particular attention to certain types of food:

Green Tea

Perhaps one of the most beneficial drinks today, green tea has been proven to help speed up metabolism and essentially burn up fat.

However, this isn’t the only way that green tea helps with cellulite removal. The drink actually contains theobromine, a substance which triggers the release of stored fat, effectively pushing out cellulite quickly and effectively. Note though that if you want the full effects, you should: (1) choose green tea wisely, opting for something natural and (2) drink up to three cups a day.

Oranges, Citrus, and Anything High in Vitamin C

Vitamin C aids in so many functions of the body.

Vitamin C is used in cellulite reduction because of its necessary role in collagen production and its capability to help repair red blood cells. It also is an antioxidant, keeping your skin cells safe from damage. For the same reasons, vitamin C may also help ward off your wrinkles. You can get vitamin C in a supplement or from many fruits and vegetables, including oranges, red and green sweet peppers, kiwi and strawberries.

Diuretics are those foods or drink items that promote urination. It prevents fluid retention in the body, another common cause of cellulite.

You’ll find that by taking these diuretics, you’ll be able to purge more water from your body and at the same time get rid of any toxins that might be residing inside. Coffee is one of the most popular diuretics, but drinking several cups a day isn’t exactly advisable, especially if you’re partial to sugar. Instead, concentrate on fruit and vegetable diuretics including but are not limited to the following: lemon, ginger, celery, beets, eggplant, cucumber, watermelon, asparagus, artichokes, carrots, and others.

Cayenne Pepper and Chili

Cayenne pepper and chili are rich in vitamin E, C, and A – all of which are essentially vitamins for daily function. Studies have shown that the heat produced by cayenne pepper and chili helps speed up the metabolism of the body. Logically, this also means that your ability to burn fat is improved considerable, allowing the body to burn off even the most stubborn cellulite.

According to research, the metabolic rate boost can reach up to 25 percent and could last up to three hours! Imagine taking cayenne pepper right before an exercise – allowing you to really rev up those muscles and burn off calories in just a short amount of time. Even better, cayenne pepper and chili are both appetite suppressants.

Brown Grains

Although not everything brown is automatically healthy, it’s important to note that most brown food items have gone through less processing. For example, brown sugar did not go through the same extensive processing as white sugar, therefore allowing it to retain more of the natural vitamins and minerals absent from the white sweetener. In the case of the brown group, this includes brown rice, brown pasta, and basically anything that falls under the whole grain section. These are perfect if you want to (1) lose weight and (2) detoxify while getting rid of cellulite. The brown grains are capable of 'slow-energy’ release which means that you’ll have sufficient energy source through the day. They also have antioxidant properties which protect cells from damage.

If your cellulite stems from toxins, drinking water would help flush these out. Now most people would question: what if my cellulite is caused by water retention? In cases like this, water is still a good answer, combined with diuretics. The diuretics will aid with the dispersal of water in your system even as you keep yourself hydrated for proper health maintenance. Eight glasses of water is the recommended minimum daily requirement. You should also steer clear of drinks with high sugar content.

The main drawback with the cellulite diet is that it takes a long time to see the effects. You might become a little frustrated as you wait for the cellulite to disappear from your thighs and hips. You can speed up the results with the help of cellulite cream. You can apply the cream directly to target areas, allowing you to double the anti-cellulite treatment. With a proper diet and cellulite cream, you’ll be able to: (1) get rid of present cellulite and (2) make sure that it doesn’t occur again!
